Joanne Hope Murray (nee Akehurst) of Middle River, Maryland went home to Jesus on August 25, 2020 at 74.

Joanne Hope Murray was born to Clifton M. Akehurst, Sr and Evelyn Akehurst on August 6, 1946.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, of William Brown, Jr., Joanne was also very active with Al-anon and AA. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Joanne worked for the Social Security Administration for over 25 years.

Joanne joined her loving husband Carl Murray, Sr (and his daughter Rose), parents Clifton and Evelyn Akehurst, Margaret Walsh, June Klingbiel, Clifton Jr. (Bud), and Carol Henry. Joanne's loving son William Brown, Jr. joined them on March 12, 2021. She is survived by family members: brother Richard Akehurst and his wife Carolyn; sister Cathy and her husband Jack Thomas; Athenia (Tina) and Robert Rosolowski, Avery, Aiden, Madison and Gabe; Carl's daughter Ida Mae; his son Carl Murray Sr and his wife Jess Murray and their children: Christina, Ronni, Brittany, Taylor and Christopher; Ida Mae's children: Jay, Clayton, Christopher and Crystal; and Rose's children, Keith, Deaven and Olivia; and 9 great-grandchildren.
