Joanne's obituary
Joanne was born on September 30, 1955 to Abner Doyle Quick and Barbara Louise (Crawley) Quick in Griffin, GA. After graduating from Jonesboro High School in 1973, she studied at what was then known as Clayton Junior College.
Joanne held several jobs throughout her career, most recently as a parapro at Stockbridge Elementary before settling in as a stay-at-home grandma in 2015.
She married Don Auber on May 28, 1988, and they settled in Stockbridge along with son Samuel Phillips (Mark Phillips). Joanne and Don had 2 children together, Rachel and Jesse.
After retiring in 2015, Joanne spent her time as a stay at home grandma to Masen (Rachel) while fighting her battle with cancer. She was a lover of life, loved her family, and loved kids. Some of her favorite things were all things Harry Potter, attending the Georgia Renaissance Festival each year, and visiting Disney/Orlando whenever possible.
Joanne was predeceased by her father, Doyle Quick. She is survived by her husband Don; children Samuel, Rachel, and Jesse; mother Barbara Quick; brothers David Quick (Kitty), Dennis Quick (Valerie), and Jeff Quick (Julie); grandson Masen; and several nieces and nephews.
