JoAnn Frances (Skogen)Moran, 81, Richfield, MN passed away peacefully March 31, 2020. She was born to Oscar and Gilma (Hylland) Skogen March 24, 1939 at her maternal grandparent's home near Scarville, Iowa and baptized May 14,1939 at Center Evangelical Lutheran Church, rural Lake Mills, Iowa. She graduated from Bricelyn High School, Bricelyn MN 1957, cosmetology school in 1958, and worked in Albert Lea, MN at a beautician, later moving to Minneapolis. She married David Moran January 19, 1964 at Bricelyn Lutheran Church. JoAnn worked many years at various factories. JoAnn was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, playing cards with friends and family, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. JoAnn was very generous and caring and helped people in need whenever she could. She will be missed.
JoAnn is survived by her husband of 56 years, David; and their children Daniel, Susan, Leah, and Tom (Rany) Moran; and grandchildren Jaime, Zachary, Nicholas, Noah, Megan, Tony and Ben; sisters Orean (Larry) Yahnke, Nancy (Neal) Solomonson; brothers Robert Skogen and Dale (Sue) helgeland, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Gilma Helgeland, and Oscar Skogen, a nephew Michael Skogen.
A celebration of JoAnn's life will be held at a later date.
