JoAnn and I worked together at Marsh for 20+ years. She was administrative support for me and eight other consultants. Always professional, she made all of us look better than we really were. Truth be known, a lot of client-facing reports were immeasurably improved by her excellent editing and composition skills. She never sought recognition for her contributions preferring instead to work behind-the-scenes for the benefit of the group.
As many know, JoAnn didn't drive a car so many nights I would give her a ride home after work. We spent that time talking about our families, our pets, our children, and our dreams for the future. It was during those drives that I really got to know her. I miss those conversations.
JoAnn surely made a difference in the lives of those around her. The world is a better place because of her.
Jo,Carole and I worked for Home Insurance going back to 1960's. Fun attending the Xmas party, summer picnics in Chaska. Great memories, stopping off at Bridgemans after work. Stopped at Jo's one nite to dance to phonograph music, ended up taking Jo to the hospital with end result...she got a cast on her leg! We often went to listen to band at Frontier club in Fridley. Even took train up to Fargo,ND to take in their show over weekend ...lot of snow that night!! Rented a motel room one weekend (along with our booze in hand) to have a fun nite. Jo, we all had some fun times back in our twenties and being single gals made it even more so! A very peaceful sleep to you Jo, now that you are in God's hands. You will be missed by many of us.
