Melbourne, FL, USA
Aunt Joan always made it a point of being a part of my life, I will forever be thankful for that! We shared many meals together and memories. I love that my children had a relationship with her just as I did growing up. I will miss her dearly ❤️

She has been my very special friend for almost 30 years.  She holds a very tender spot in my heart. She was a very loving, caring woman and the light of Christ shone through her. She will be missed.
I was in Bible Study with Joan at ACC. Such a beautiful woman inside and out! Loved God, her family and others. Always seemed filled with the joy of the Lord. Will miss her but glad she is with Jesus. ❤️

a fun visit getting reacquainted
So many memories of Aunt Joan!  One of the earliest memories was when we were all in Sioux Center, Janel was just a baby.  I went to the grocery store with Aunt Joan and she let me carry Janel the whole time in the store!  I thought that was the best thing ever!!  I remember the family coming to West Union in their camper and visiting.  I also remember visiting Uncle Jim and Aunt Joan in Colorado when I was in 6th grade and I always held/will hold the memory of them in their lovely home and the fun times we had.  Aunt Joan also flew to Virginia in 1994 for my wedding!  We saw one another occasionally over the years here or there for this or that and even talked on the phone some. Aunt Joan was always smiling and laughing.  So full of life and so kind.  Most recently, Roy and I went to Colorado on vacation and stopped to see Aunt Joan.  We had a great time catching up and visiting, going out for lunch, and drinking coffee...she loved her coffee!  I cherish these memories of Aunt Joan and am at peace knowing she is healed and whole again.   Most importantly she is with Jesus, but also reunited with Jim and her parents and siblings.  I imagine them all walking the beautiful streets of gold and having coffee and cookies together!  :)

Joan and Jim hosted Jonathan and I on our trip to Colorado.  One highlight - the 4 of us  took the tram to the top of Pikes Peak .

It was a beautiful day, and good memories
