JoAnn's obituary
It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of JoAnn Clingan, who slipped away peacefully on February 16, 2025. Born on June 20, 1948, JoAnn lived a vibrant life filled with lots of love, courage, and strength. She leaves a legacy of warmth, bravery, and a hearty love for life, best remembered by her favorite saying, "Life works if you do," a testament to her industrious and determined spirit.
In a life that was blessed and made rich through her bonds with her family, JoAnn is survived by her devoted daughters Elizabeth and April Clingan, and her loving son, Erik Clingan. JoAnn also had a special place in her heart for her grandkids Stephanie, Orrin, Gary, Erik Jr., Aaron and Kaiia Clingan. Her beloved son-in-law Jeramie Dixon and cherished daughter-in-law Valerie Clingan will also miss her deeply.
A Celebration of Life for JoAnn will be held on March 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at 2981 Florine Ave, where family and friends will gather to remember and honor JoAnn's remarkable journey through life.
JoAnn had a zest for life, a warm, loving personality, and an unshakable strength that characterized her every move. She was a staunch fan of The Eagles, and she found joy and comfort in her favorite TV Shows, including CSI and NCIS. Her favorite film was the classic 'To Kill a Mockingbird', a story that resonated with her strong sense of justice and morality.
She relished her favorite food, pasta, and had a special love for the color green. Yet, nothing brought her more joy than spending quality time with her grandbabies and great grandbabies which she considered her greatest recreational activity.
JoAnn Clingan was a woman of substance, whose love, warmth, and bravery will be remembered by all who knew her. Her life lessons and her memory will continue to inspire us and guide us. She was truly a beacon of strength and love, and she will be deeply missed.
