Joann Breivogel
December 23, 1954 - Saturday, July 27, 2019
On December 23, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois The Lord gave life to a little girl of the late Thelma & Willie James Hunt, and they named her Joann.
Joann grew up on the westside of Chicago, Illinois graduating from John Marshall High School then after attended Malcolm X College and graduated with honors and continued to gain knowledge by attending local colleges. Joann met her first husband Fred Wilson Jr. in 1988 who in 1979 preceded her in death left behind with her to mourn his passing was a son Fred Wilson-Hunt 111. Joann remarried husband Frank Levy who also preceded her in death left behind with her to mourn his passing a son Jim Keon Levy. Joann married husband John M. Breivogel who preceded in death the year 2002 left behind with her to mourn his passing between them a daughter Iris Larrissa Breivogel.
Joann was a political volunteer and assistant for State Senator Earlene Collins and helped to establish The Unwed Mother's United a teenage pregnancy support group on the westside of Chicago.
After being diagnosed with Schizophrenia in her late twenties Joann would not let it control her Joann still went on to become a well known northside Journalist and an uptown Food Critic with for the poplar Chicago paper "The Streetwise News." If given more time Joann would have changed the world by working hard to become the next President Of The United States of America. Joann worked hard to be placed on the 2020 election ballot and would have started her campaign next year but The Lord called her to rest.
She Leaves to cherish her loving memories three children, two sons Fred Hunt and Jim Keon Levy and and a daughter Iris L. Brevogel, eleven grandchildren, two brother's Willie James Hunt Jr. and Eugene Hunt five sisters Bettye J. Carter, Edna Hunt, Barbara J. Pena, Catherine M. Webb, Carol L Hunt and many nieces and nephews an host of cousins and other family members of the Drake's and Hunt's, and so many new and old friends that loved her. We will miss you Joann but we will also see you again.
