It is with sadness the family of Joan Marie Yeadon (Lawrence) announces that she has passed away peacefully at Debert Court nursing home on January 14, 2025.

While raising five children on Dominion St., Joan was also an adventurer and enjoyed travelling with her husband Vic to such places as islands in the Caribbean and throughout Europe. Joan was most at home at Cape John at the family cottage where she welcomed and invited all she knew to come and visit - 'if not for the day then for 'lunch'.

Joan is survived by Vic, her husband of 67 years; her children Debbie (Scott) Nicholson, Braeshore; Kathy (Bruce) Baxter, Tiverton Ont; Brenda (Paul) Weber, Spanish Fort AL; Peter (Robin Liu), New York NY; Todd (Marina), Hubbards; and nine grandchildren Colin, Mike, Brittany, Melissa, Spencer, Johanna, Ben, Roan, and Larkin; and five great-grandchildren Julianna, Landon, Dylan, Isaac, and Theo.

The family want to recognize and thank the staff of the Debert Court facility for the care and compassion they have given to Joan during her stay. Joan's remains have been donated to medical neuroscience at Dalhousie University.

A family grave side service will take place at a later date.
