I just learned of Joan’s passing and wish to extend my sincere condolences to her family and friends. I too worked with Joan for many years: she was always helpful and nice. When I think of Joan, “You can take the girl out of New York but you can’t take New York out of the girl” comes to mind. She fought the good fight and was clearly loved by many. May she rest in peace.

I worked with Joan at the County for many years. She was always a pleasure to work with and the go-to person in her division. Joan was a straight-shooter, with her East Coast up front attitude and accent. So sorry to hear of her passing and my condolences to to her family.
