Joan Parker passed away on the morning of Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in hospice care at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Angelica Cargill after her battle with cancer. In accordance with her wishes, no funeral service was held.

Cremation was at the Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas. Her cremains were interred at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery on June 1st together with the cremains of her husband, William Randall Parker, who passed away in 2010.

Survivors include 2 brothers, Danny McIntosh and Butch McIntosh of New Boston, TX; 2 sisters, Clovis L. Phillips and Linda L. McKinnie of Dekalb, TX; 2 sons, Larry D. Cargill of Red Oak, TX and Bobby D. Parker of DeSoto, TX; 2 grandsons, Kevin D. Cargill of Kettering OH and Brian Cargill of Red Oak, TX and 2 granddaughters, Krista Cargill and Katie Cargill of Red Oak, TX.
