Joan Dale Massey passed away in Chesapeake, VA, on Saturday, January 14, 2023, after a short illness.
She was surrounded by her children at the time of her death. Joan was born on May 10th, 1936, in
Memphis, TN, as the only child of Gladys Mansfield and Richard King. She graduated from Memphis Technical High School in 1955.
On February 22, 1958, Joan married Joe Prentice Massey, and they had three children together: Sharon Massey …
