Joan's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Marie Hauser Engels, who passed away peacefully on May 10, 2023. Joan was born on the 6th of September, 1935 to William and Kathleen Quayle in Liverpool, Lancashire England and lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to her beloved family.
Joan is survived by her eldest son, John Hauser , as well as granddaughters Ashley, Kimberly, Rudi, and Nicole Hauser; as well as her grandsons Mitch and Julian Hauser. Each of them cherished by Joan as the joys of her life. She was predeceased by her beloved sons Bob and Mark Hauser, and her adoring husband John Joseph Hauser, whom she married in the year of 1955.
In 1957, Joan welcomed her first bundle of joy, embarking on the beautiful journey of motherhood. She later had two more sons and later on down the road, the joy of becoming a great-grandmother of six. Joan's life took a new exciting turn in 1964 when she moved to the USA, a place she grew to love and call home.
Joan was known for her love of hot tea, a simple pleasure that brought her immense comfort. She was often seen indulging in her favorite recreational activities, which included frequenting garage sales on the weekends and volunteering locally around her community when she could. Joan loved to keep active with relaxing long walks, which she found therapeutic and rejuvenating.
A woman who deeply cared for her family above all else, Joan embodied kindness. She practiced the philosophy, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". She saw the best in people, her kind-hearted nature resonating with everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Today, as we mourn the loss of Joan, we also celebrate a life beautifully lived. A life that touched many, a life full of love and kindness. Joan will be greatly missed by all her family. We were indeed all lucky to have had her in our lives. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to shine in the hearts she's touched.
