Joan Jehlik-Johnson (Born Aug. 26, 1942 in the quaint town of Lyons, IL) passed away peacefully at her son’s house the morning of March 16, 2024 at 81 years old. She is survived by her Daughter, Susan Jehlik and her Son, Michael Jehlik, her 5 beautiful Grandchildren: Jennifer, Rebeccah, Jason, Samuel and Katrina, her Sister Jeanne Bellezzo and her Brother, Dennis Deegan and many, many friends, guests and acquaintances. She is remembered for her generous hospitality, adventurous spirit and her ability to create happy chaos in so many ways!

Joan had such a kind heart. She wanted just one thing. For her family to take part. For her family to just sing. She held her family tight. She tried to bring them in. Sometimes they would fight, but sometimes she would win. She knew that life was short now, she knew that God was near. She stood behind her vow. She made it so, so clear. She showed us all her Love. Together was her way. Today she finds her dove. We’ll all see her another day.
