It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joan Bergquist,

born on August 16, 1936. She departed from this life on July 20, 2024, leaving

behind a legacy of unconditional love.

Described by those who knew her best as witty, funny, caring, Joan had an

unmatched ability to light up a room with her presence. Her intelligence and

comedic timing always brought laughter to any gathering while her caring

nature provided comfort and solace to those in need.

Joan's favorite moments were those spent with family. She found joy in the

simple pleasures of life, whether it be a casual dinner at home or a grand

holiday celebration. Her passion for family time was something she treasured

and will be remembered with fondness by all who knew her.

She is survived by her brother Kenny, devoted children Laura, Cathy, John, and

Denise. Grandchildren Jennifer, Tanner, Amber, Kevin, Katelyn, David, Zack,

and Ashley. Joan also had the pleasure of being a great-grandmother to Grace,

Kara, Haylie, Braelyn, Madisyn, Caiden, Melody, Mavis, RJ, Spencer, and

Oakley. They will carry on her legacy by remembering the love and life lessons

she so generously shared.

Joan was predeceased by her beloved sons, Gregory and Robert Bergquist.

The love she held for them was immeasurable and they will forever hold a

special place in her heart.

The world may have lost a wonderful soul, but heaven has gained an angel.

Joan's love, wisdom, and spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her. As

we mourn the loss of a remarkable woman, we also celebrate a life beautifully

lived and the precious memories that will remain in our hearts forever.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Joan’s name

to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
