Jo's obituary
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the departure of Jo "Mommy" Paradissis, a beacon of love and kindness. Jo, affectionately known as "Mommy", passed away on September 27, 2024. She was born on June 20, 1969 and lived a life full of love, laughter, and strength. She was a beloved wife, adoring mother, cherished sister and daughter.
Jo is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Paradissis. Her most fulfilling roles were those of a mother to her daughters, Krissy Heitz and Annie Dean. It brought immense joy to Jo to talk on the phone with both of her daughters, which was one of her favorite recreational activities. Jo was also survived by her mother, Penelo Mitchell, She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Davis, and father, Doug Mitchell.
Jo often looked back fondly on two of the most transformative years of her life - 1985 and 1987 - when she brought her beloved children into the world. As a testament to the immense love she had for her family, she celebrated the milestones of her life in relation to these remarkable events.
Jo had a deep love for music, her favorite being Toby Keith. She was a loyal fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was often seen passionately following their matches. Jo found joy and relaxation in playing Yahtzee, her favorite game. She loved the simple pleasure of relishing her favorite drink - Coke.
Jo will always be remembered for her colorful personality. Purple was her favorite color and it reflected her vibrant spirit. She was a woman of extraordinary strength and resilience, and her love for her family was boundless. Her presence will be profoundly missed, yet her legacy will continue to live on through the lives of her loved ones.
