Dr. Juncker was my role model and mentor at NJCU. If not for her I would not be teaching. She was such a beautiful soul. I wish I could thank her for being my advocate and believing in me. God Bless you and your family.

In lieu of flowers

In lieu of flowers, consider a gift to NJCU Children's Learning Center.

I worked at New Jersey City University for 30+ years. I worked closely with Dr. Juncker when she was Assistant Dean of the School of Professional Studies and Education. I was Assistant to the Dean. She was the sweetest person I had ever met on campus. Brilliant and totally student centered throughout her entire career. She was loved by faculty, students and administration. Her favorite saying was "man alive" and also "you scared the bejeezus out of me" lol. I loved working with her and always held her in the highest regard. I will always have the fondest memories of our time together at NJCU.

Dr. Juncker has influenced so many of us in many different ways. Her friendly smile, desire and willingness to help everybody, calm demeanor and never-giving up attitude will always be etched in the minds of those who worked with her. I had the privilege of working with her for over 10 years and learnt how to be an effective early childhood educator in an urban setting. I watched her advocate for those who were unable to do so themselves. She was an encyclopedia of information about state laws, people at NJDOE, at JCBOE, Hudson and Essex counties early childhood educators, people at NJCU and the history of courses and processes at NJCU. Her work has left a lasting impact on the lives of early childhood educators in Hudson and Essex counties
I thank Dr. Juncker for all of her kindness, support, guidance, and love she provided to me and all her students. She was truly a genuine and amazing person! Heaven has a new angel!

Dr. Juncker was truly an amazing soul!  She not only mentored many of us through Project PRIME, she loved us!

 I am forever grateful! ❤️

Dr. Juncker is a Saint!!! Through her Leadership and work in the PRIME program, she has even more children than she’ll ever know.  Her extreme kindness, mercy and patience with me is the only reason why I was able to stay in the program and graduate!!!

I am forever indebted to her!!!

Jo Anne was one of the nicest, kindest people I have ever met.  She always saw the best in people.  May she rest in peace.
