Jo Ann's obituary
Jo Ann Slater went home to be with Jesus on February 09, 2023 at age 86.
She was born to Sebe and Mary Perkins on November 13, 1936. Jo Ann married the love of her life, Robert Slater in August, 1962. They have four children, Rodney Slater, Rhonda Thurmon, Deanna Vickers, and Teresa Hawkins. She loved her family and had an unwavering faith in God. She loved to look at pictures of her family, to listen to sermons and to listen to gospel music.
She is survived by her daughters Rhonda Thurmon (husband, Mike), Deanna Vickers (husband, Paul), and Teresa Hawkins (husband, Bart); grandchildren, JR, Carmin, Brandy, Michael, Paige, Holly, Amber, Adam, Courtney and Cameron. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Jo Ann Slater is preceded in death by her husband, her son, her parents, and her siblings.
At a later date, there will be a small family graveside service. The family is very grateful for your prayers and support during this difficult time.
