Jimmy's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of
Mr. Jimmy Wallace Turner, age 57, of Highland City, FL, February 25, 2019, at his residence.
Jimmy was born March 10, 1961, in Polk County, Florida, the second of four children to the late Logan and Marion Turner.
He was a devoted father, loving husband, bookworm, know it all, and part time comedian. Let’s not forget, the best looking fella to have ever graced this earth besides the Lord himself. Period.
Jimmy never knew a stranger (which sometimes it was questionable) but was also inspiring. A boisterous laugh with ridiculous jokes were part of his daily routine. Fueled by half the crops of Columbia’s coffee beans, there was no stopping him. If ever you needed advice, he had it. Should you need to rest your head, he’d say go on inside then for supper too. No matter the request, he gave you his time. Kindness, humility, and unconditional love, is always what he gave. All of this, just a small description of everything that made him exceptional.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife Jacqueline Turner; Daughters Amanda L Welch (William R Welch), Misty M Beach (James Beach), Son Joseph S Turner (Jessica Evans), Stepdaughters Jennifer Gavin (John Gavin), Sarah Rosales (Humberto Rosales), Stepson James Stewart; Brother Johnny Turner, Sisters Brenda Turner, Genice Turner; Fifteen Grandchildren; lifelong friends James and Dawn Holbrook. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will miss him greatly.

He is preceded in death by his beloved youngest daughter Samantha Marie Turner, parents Mr. Logan Turner and Mrs. Marion Turner.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 8th, 2019, at All Saints’ Episcopal Church in Lakeland, with Rev. Dr. Larry Reid Hensarling officiating. Reception to follow at the Welch Home in Lakeland, FL. Final preparations made by Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel, Lakeland, FL.
