It is with a heavy heart and sad duty that we announce the passing of Mr. Jimmy Peters. Born on April 2, 1955, Jimmy left us peacefully on May 7, 2024. His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Jimmy was an easy-going, kind soul, known for his gentlemanly demeanor. He embodied the spirit of southern charm and hospitality, warming the hearts of those he met with his gentle manners and generous nature. Jimmy was a beacon of kindness in a world too often lacking in it; he was loved, and will be sorely missed.
He leaves behind a large, loving family. He is survived by his two sons, Lee Peters and Lawrence Peters Sr., and their wives, Barbie and Joyce Peters, respectively. His legacy will carry on in his grandchildren, Presley, Lawrence Jr., Krescent, and Mathais Peters, who were the apple of his eye. Jimmy’s influence on their lives will be etched in their hearts forever.
Jimmy was one of seven siblings. He is survived by Linda Thompson, Ricky Peters, Allen Peters, Gail Fitzmaurice, Mickey Fitzmaurice, and Monty Montgomery. His bond with his brothers and sisters was one of deep love and respect, and they mourn his loss with profound sorrow. He was predeceased by his mother Betty Burcham, and his father James Peters, whom he held in high regard and often spoke of with great affection.
Life will not be the same without Jimmy Peters. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His unyielding kindness, warmth, and love for his family will be remembered and cherished.
