Jimmy's obituary

Jimmy Gween Dean

January 7, 1963 – February 14, 2026

Jimmy Gween Dean, 63, of Bloomburg, Texas, passed away on February 14, 2026, in Texarkana, Texas. Born on January 7, 1963, Jimmy was a calm and steady presence to all who knew him. He never missed an opportunity to laugh and always knew how to lighten the mood, bringing humor and comfort even during difficult times.

Jimmy’s greatest pride and joy were his two children, Deanna Brown and Jimmie Radford and her husband, Damon Radford, of Norfolk, Virginia. He loved his family deeply, especially the women in his life, and was a devoted father and a wonderful brother to his sisters. He was known for calling his daughters “youngin” whenever he spoke to them; just a simple word that carried so much love and warmth. His eleven grandchildren brought him immeasurable happiness and were a true blessing in his life.

He is also survived by his former wife and the mother of his children, Kena Brown of Norfolk, Virginia; his sisters, Debra Kay and her husband R.J. Alford of Texarkana, Mary Jane and her husband Doug Stephenson of Texarkana, and Cherlene Rodriguez; his brothers, Robert Davis and his wife Michelle Davis of Fouke, Arkansas, and Tony Clark of Texarkana; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Blanche Dean, and his siblings, Earl Dean, David Dean, and Judy Pierce.

He will be missed immensely, but the memories he created that are filled with laughter, love, and steady strength will be cherished forever by those who knew and loved him.
