Jimmy's obituary
Jimmy Walter "Boe" Blue, Sr., age 60, passed away on January 4, 2026, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Born on August 23, 1965, in St. Charles, Missouri, Jimmy lived a life marked by generosity, humor, and unwavering support for those around him.
Jimmy’s professional journey began in the kitchen, where he found his calling as a chef and cook. His love for preparing meals was more than just a job—it was an extension of his caring nature. Whether it was a hot plate of food or a warm place to stay, Jimmy made sure no one around him ever felt alone or hungry. Before health challenges led to his retirement, he also worked in factory settings, bringing the same dedication and reliability that defined every aspect of his life.
Known affectionately as “Boe,” Jimmy had a magnetic personality that drew people in. He was the life of the party—quick with a sarcastic remark or a joke that could light up any room. His sense of humor was legendary among those who knew him best. But beyond the laughter was a man deeply committed to his family and friends. He never hesitated to lend a hand or offer support, no matter the situation.
Jimmy found immense joy in spending time with his family. He cherished moments with his children—Jimmy Blue Jr(Vicki), Stephanie(Dean) Sikora, Derek Enos, and Alex Grapentine(Children's brother)—and adored playing with his grandchildren: Amerie Enos, Amileo Blue, and Lacy Sikora. His home was often filled with laughter and love as he shared stories, played games with the grandkids, or simply enjoyed being surrounded by those he cared about most.
He loved and cherished his family including all of his siblings; Tommy(Pam) Blue, Jerry Blue, Susie Blue, Ruby Blue, Brenda Blue, Andy(Cheryl) Blue, Edith(Kevin) Blue, Isaac Blue and Joseph Boissoneau.
He carried within him the memory of loved ones who passed before him: his son Jimmy Blue Jr., brother Ricky Blue, mother Joyce Blue, and father Isaac Blue. Their absence was felt deeply by Jimmy but never dimmed his spirit or capacity to give.
Jimmy was surrounded by loved ones during his final hours, we want to thank:
His daughter; Stephanie Sikora
His siblings; Andy Blue, Orville Blue, Edie Blue, Brenda Blue, Joe Boissoneau
His nieces; Christie Blue, Amy Kunde, Heidi Blue, Aleah Gross
His nephews; Robby Boissoneau, Billy Towegishig, Andy Blue Jr
Great niece; Braelynn Wegner
Jimmy’s legacy is one of warmth and resilience—a man who wasn’t afraid to speak his mind but always did so from a place of honesty and care. He will be remembered not only for his culinary talents but also for being someone others could count on without hesitation.
Us as a family would like to give a huge thank you to Kingsley Nnamani and the AMAZING staff, especially the nurses of the ICU at Aurora here in Oshkosh. They truly were a huge blessing to our family in this time when we needed help the most. Such caring people and they truly showed love for my dad.
A memorial service celebrating Jimmy’s life will be held on January 17, 2026, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
May the memory of Jimmy Walter "Boe" Blue Sr.—his laughter, strength, and boundless heart—bring comfort to all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 17, 2026, from 10:30 AM to 01:30 PM at Senior Center South Building 200 N Campbell Rd. We all know dad wouldn't want us all sad, so I had a fun idea..let’s all dress up like different versions of dad! Mustache, mullet, wigs, however you want to do it. There will be food(of course), funny/happy stories and karaoke. We all know dad loved karaoke, but his stroke made him not feel as confident. So let's have a big party!
