Jimmmy's obituary
Jimmy Stewart Robertson, 82, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, at Grandview Medical Center due to respiratory complications.
Born on September 30, 1942, in Raleigh, North Carolina, Jimmy lived a life of deep devotion—to his family, his country, and his values. At the age of 19, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served with honor and distinction for 26 years. His service shaped not only his character, but also the lives of those who served alongside him.
Jimmy was the definition of a devoted husband. He married his high school sweetheart, Alice Eleanor Robertson, and together they shared a remarkable 62 years of marriage. Their love was quiet but enduring, a partnership built on trust, laughter, and the everyday strength of commitment. Alice preceded him in death earlier this year, and those who knew them find comfort in knowing they are now reunited.
Jimmy was a proud and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his children, Jeremy Robertson and Amelia Morgan; his grandchildren Joshua Robertson, Michael Robertson, Alice Robertson, Eliza Robertson, Adrian (Cameron) McKnight, Shelly Coker, and Alyssa Robertson; and his many beloved great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Those who knew Jimmy will remember his gentle presence, unwavering loyalty, and deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures—sharing stories on the porch, fixing what was broken, and always putting others before himself.
A memorial service will be held on august 3, 2025, at the family home. All who loved Jimmy are invited to gather in celebration of his life, legacy, and the love he so freely gave.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
