I was 17. Jim stayed with us a few days in UT while he reacclimated himself to exercise at altitude before reporting in Denver. I overheard him talking to his kids on the phone and heard such love and patience in his voice that I knew one day I'd do my best to be as good a father as Jim showed that day.

Mary, K and family, Ellen and I would like to share our condolences towards you regarding the passing of Jim. We have such vivid and good memories of all of our times spent with your family. It was a very special time in our lives and you were always such great neighbors. So many good times. You and Jim were always so kind and generous. And unfortunately, I do not have your email or address or I would’ve sent a card in remembrance of Jim.
