Born in Ashton-under-Lyne, England on October 7, 1930, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2019.
Jim/Dad/Granddad was survived by his spouse of 54 years, Freda, son James “Jimmy” (Heather), daughter Carole (Jason), and four grandchildren, Lindsey, Mattheas, Jasper and Maeve.
Jim served as a member of the Allied Forces in the occupation of Italy at the end of WWII. Having immigrated to Canada, Jim met Freda, also a recent immigrant (from Germany), and they married …
