It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Jim Henderson. Born on October 3, 1988, Jim lived a full and vibrant life until his peaceful passing on September 29, 2025.
Jim will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Sandra Henderson, his adoring daughter, Precious Wilcox, and his cherished grandchildren. That includes Gabby, Ariauana, and Ava Henderson, Xzavier Henderson, Noe Gonzalez, and William Gonzalez, all of whom inherited his lively spirit and glowing warmth. His legacy will continue to live on through them.
In 2019, Jim retired from his long-standing career at James Steele, where he was known for his hard work, dedication, and friendly banter. His retirement was spent indulging in his favorite pursuits and pastimes.
Jim had a particular love for chicken and coffee, and listening to Brooks and Dunn. His favorite movies, Harry Potter and Jaws, were a reflection of his adventurous spirit and love for fantasy. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the KC Chiefs and the KC Royals, and loved to spend his time playing poker, or watching his favorite show, Shark Tank.
Jim's love for fishing and family time was known to all who were close to him. He was the happiest when vacationing in Fourt Lauderdale, Florida, or Key West, engaging in these activities with his loved ones by his side.
Jim was a man who lived by the motto 'never give up'. His bubbly, warm personality was infectious and he had a profound impact on the lives of those around him. Above all, he loved and cared deeply about his family - a cause close to his heart.
A man who loved the color red, he left behind a legacy of kindness and love. His life was a testament to these virtues, and he will forever be remembered for his unfailing optimism and resilience.
Jim's funeral service was held on October 4, 2025, at 3:00 pm at 3540 E Seminole St. Friends, family, and acquaintances gathered to bid farewell to Jim, whose love for life, his family, and his vibrant spirit will always be remembered.
