Jill's obituary

Our beautiful and beloved Jillian Rene Bishop-Poole tragically left us on January 11th, 2025, after unexpectedly suffering an arrhythmia a week prior. Jillian was 45 years old.

She leaves behind her best friend & husband of 21 years, her four children, granddaughter, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends.

Anyone that truly knew Jillian, knew her to bring the glitter to any situation. She had an intense and deep love for life that she passionately shared with her husband. She enjoyed the beach, her wine, cruises, Disney, girls night out with her friends, and above all else, being a wife, mother to her children, and a Gigi to her granddaughter.

Jillian was born on February 24th, 1979 to Debra Anne Braida and William Clyde Bishop in La Mirada California. She would become the eldest of eight. Four sisters, one half-sister, a step-sister to one sister, and step-sister to one brother. To Jillian, family was family regardless of blood. Jillian's start in life was a bit rough, being born with a severe astigmatism, she had several corrective surgeries by the time she was 6 years old. Despite the severe astigmatism Jillian became an avid reader, writer of poetry, graduated high school with honors, earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Management, became a property claims adjuster for Allstate, and learned to drive when told she never would. Jillian met her husband Jeff at work where they became close friends with many things in common from music, hockey, movies, and a general love for life. That friendship blossomed into a deeply rooted love and affection towards one another and over time led them to becoming married on August 12th, 2006. Jillian immediately become a mother to two step-children, Noah and Emily, whom she regarded as her own, the mother of a son, Tristan, in 2008, and a daughter, Scarlett, in 2012. Jillian and Jeff enjoyed many years together and lived life to the fullest as much as possible, whether they were camping, cruising, or just enjoying time with family or friends. Jillian and Jeff left California in 2017 for Ohio, and from Ohio to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 2019. On January 4th, 2025, after a day of work and spending quality time with friends, Jillian and Jeff went to bed. He stayed up watching TV while she snuggled into his arms. While sleeping Jillian suffered an arrhythmia where her heart stopped. Jeff frantically performed CPR on her until emergency services showed up and got her heart started again. Jillian suffered anoxic brain damage and was removed from the ventilator on January 10th, 2025, and passing away with her husband and eldest son by her side on January 11th, 2025. Jillian was an organ and tissue donor and even while she is gone from this world she will continue to make a lasting positive impact on others. Jillian was cremated and Celebration of Life ceremonies are planned for the west coast in California in April, and again on the east coast at the beginning of June.
