Remember Me – Margaret Mead

This funeral poem is one of remembrance, it provides the notion of togetherness and love when your loved one has passed.

To the living, I am gone,

To the sorrowful, I will never return,

To the angry, I was cheated,

But to the happy, I am at peace,

And to the faithful, I have never left.

I cannot speak, but I can listen.

I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.

So as you stand upon a shore gazing at a beautiful sea,

As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity,

Remember me.

Remember me in your heart:

Your thoughts, and your memories,

Of the times we loved,

The times we cried,

The times we fought,

The times we laughed.

For if you always think of me, I will never have gone.

Jennifer and Allison (and families) - I want to extend to you our deepest sympathy.  I was sad to hear that she had been sick and that you lost your beautiful Mom.  I watched the Celebration of Life - it was beautiful!  I have many memories of your Mom.  She was a wonderful friend to me when we moved to Leawood.  We celebrated many birthdays together and always had a lot of laughs.  She is with you both - an angel for sure watching you and your families.  With love - Randy and Gayle Kirsch

Jennifer, I was shocked to learn about your sweet mother passing on. I didn’t realize she was so sick. My prayers are for you and your family as you deal with this devastating loss.

Fondly,

Carol Baker

Jill I had gotten the pleasure of knowing you and your wonderful family for about six months as your caregiver you were always so sweet and kind and I cherished the days I got to come and see you because you always were such a joy to be around, I am honored to have known you even tho our time together may have been short, I hope you get to pet every doggy in heaven and color all the coloring pages and frolic in all the fields of the most beautiful flower rest easy you beautiful soul🕊️💗
I have only known Jill for 4 months as her personal  caregiver but she made a deep impression on me as a kind attentive listener as we slowly got to know each other.  She will be greatly missed & hard to top in my healthcare job!

What an amazing person Jill was. I have so many found memories growing up and going over to play with Jennifer where her mom would always make it extra special with personalized touches, fun activities and yes - lots of confetti! I always felt welcome and loved as an extension of the family in no small part to her natural, caring nature. She treated us all as her own.  I will miss her smile, kind soul and loving energy that she spread wherever she went. Sending so much love Jennifer, and the whole family <3

I first met Jill when our children were in preschool.  She was friendly and sweet and indeed ‘sparkly’.  Throughout preschool and beyond, with other moms and kids from preschool, we did many fun things together.  To maintain our connections we moms began ‘the birthday group’ .  We met several time a year to celebrate our birthdays and it continued for years.  Needless to say over the years we kept up with events, happy and sad.  Even after moving to Virginia we still kept up and we met on our visits to KS.  The last time ‘the birthday group’  gathered was  a year and an half ago and that was the last time I saw Jill.  Still as lovely as ever, sweet and resilient.  She will be missed!!

We are saddened by the loss of Jill a d know she will be missed so much. Knowing her since Jennie's high school days, Dayne and Jennie's wedding and baby showers was always a delight. It was uplifting to read about her life and how much joy she spread to all who knew her. We regret that we will be in Texas when her Celebration of Life takes place, but will be with you in spirit and prayer. Will the service be streamed that day?

Much Love.....

David & Nancy Steen Family
