Jill Ann Lindsay (Berens) 78, passed away Thursday December 2, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband John Lindsay, sister Cynthia Christakis, father Jerome Berens, mother Wanita (Woertz) Berens, and granddaughter Alyssa Lindsay. Jill is survived by her children: Jay (Cheryl) Jerik, Jeff (Sue) Jerik, Gary (Angela) Lindsay, and Gregg Lindsay: her grandchildren, Jason , Kaity, Hannah, Emily, Emma, Hunter, Carson, Greyson, Parker, and Katherine; her great-grandchildren Ryleigh, Jake and Duncan; her brother Jerry (Judy) Berens and many nieces and nephews.

Jill worked as an dental assistant for the V. A. in North Chicago for 17 years.  During retirement, she embarked on any opportunities to travel and have fun. She also followed her love for animals when she became a foster mom for Placing Paws. During her time with them, she took in 26 foster dogs. After that she retired to Florida for almost a decade. 

Jill was a light in this world, a force and joy to behold. She was a loving sister, mother and Grammie with a boisterous personality. She was passionate about all of her family, including her animals. As a mother she was the loudest cheerleader for all of her boys and later her grandchildren Jill was the life of the party in all of her sparkle. She prided herself on her lavish gardens and was overjoyed when they attracted butterflies. She loved taking pictures of her family and friends using her classic line: closer and lower. As she leaves us now, we leave you with her endearing phrase, "I Be Loving You!"
