Jill Darlene Hoeft (White) went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2021 in Ruskin, Florida at the age of 71 following a short battle with cancer.
Jill is survived by her lifelong husband and soulmate Glenn, her loving sisters Gale Miller (Ron), Dottie White (Marti Sikora) and her adoring daughters Cindy Hoeft-Claus and Mandy (Brian) Powell and cherished grandchildren Tyler Claus, Emily Claus, Lexie Powell and Addison Powell. She was blessed with two lifelong brother- in -laws Gordie (Debbie) and Gary (Kathy) and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong treasured friends.
Jill was born on August 28,1949 in Detroit, Michigan to Jack and Helen (Reb) White. She graduated from Franklin High School in Livonia, Michigan in 1967. She married Glenn, her high school sweetheart, on June 6, 1969 and moved to Westland, Michigan.
They enjoyed the family life with their two daughters in Westland. The family then moved to Commerce Township, Michigan where they lived for almost 30 years on Lake Sherwood. They enjoyed boating with friends and long summer days that turned into nights. Jill was a hard working mom and enjoyed her long career at Audette Cadillac in West Bloomfield, Michigan. She developed long lasting friendships there that she cherished and we all enjoyed hearing about fun office stories.
She loved her retirement to Florida where she enjoyed the beach life. She’s always had a love for her seashells and enjoyed the sunshine. She really enjoyed her family and grandchildren there as well. She was looking forward to celebrating 52 years of marriage with her soul mate later this year.
She brought a lot of love and joy to this world. She was the life of a party and we all will miss her dearly.
A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at 4:00PM at Milford United Methodist Church located at 1200 Atlantic Street., Milford, MI 48381. A celebration of life reception to follow at 5:30PM at Baker’s of Milford Restaurant located at 2025 S Milford Rd. Milford, MI 48381.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jill’s wonderful life. Flowers will be accepted at Milford United Methodist Church on the day of service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to LifePath Hospice Sun City Center Hospice House, checks can be sent to this location at: 3723 Upper Creek Drive., Ruskin, FL 33573.
