Jill's obituary

Jill Arnette Coleman, 73, of San Diego, California, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, in the comfort of her home.

Jill was born on May 19th, 1951, in Enumclaw, Washington, to Delbert Dennis Grennan and Betty Sue MacKay. She grew up with a deep love for music and culture.

After living in every corner of the country, Jill managed to touch people everywhere she went. She was known for her warmth, humor, and acceptance.

Jill married her best friend, William “Bill” Stanley Coleman, in 1976, and had two children, Kyle and Meagan. Jill and Bill divorced in 1991; however, they maintained their friendship. Bill married Kay and had two children, Hanna and Olivia. Together, they created a loving blended family and shared a love of cooking, a good movie, and spending quality time together. Jill always put her children above everything else.

She is survived by her children Meagan, Kyle, Hanna and Olivia; her grandson Jack; and her siblings Tim, Becky, Jody, Kari, Brian, and Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents Betty and Delbert.

A memorial service will be held on August 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Mason Lake in Washington State.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Kidney Fund.

Jill will stay with us in our hearts, and her memory will live on in all the people she touched while she was with us.
