Jewel was a foster mom to me, I loved her very much and am so sad to hear this news, Maya and Mama Jewel gave me a home, fought for me when I had no one to love me . I will always be grateful to her and her family.

I feel so blessed to have seen my cousin Jewel hours before she passed and to have been in such an intimate situation and shared in prayer with Maya, Ramon, Jewel's granddaughter her husband and Jewel's great grandson.
