Jesslyn's obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the untimely passing of Jesslyn Draper, who was born on January 18, 2005, and tragically left us on August 19, 2023. Blessed with beautiful eyes and an infectious smile, Jesslyn was a free spirit whose outgoing and bubbly personality touched the lives of everyone she met.  One of her first passions in life was being involved in anyway possible with horses, making sure everyone knew she started working at age 10 at Ms. Kathleen's!

Jesslyn's legacy endures through her powerful lessons of giving love without reservations, and an unwavering positive outlook on life. She will be remembered as a Godmother to Zoey Benoit and the role model she was for her younger cousins, nieces and nephews. Her irreplaceable essence and bright spirit will forever be engraved in the hearts of her family and friends.

Jesslyn is survived by her loving father, Jess Draper, her nurturing mother, Glenda Draper, her adoring grandmother, Debbie Mayton, her caring siblings, Coty Benoit, Jay Draper, Jennifer Draper, and Brooke Hawkins, and her treasured aunts and uncles, Sylvia Fontenot, Billy Fontenot, Darin Draper, Bryan Mayton, Charlie Mayton, Matthew Mayton, and Cynthia Mayton.  Many Many cousins, family and friends that she considered family.

Preceding Jesslyn in passing are her revered grandfather, Sid Draper, Royce Mayton, Albert Fontenot, grandmother Dorothy Fontenot, cherished brother Zachary Fontenot, and beloved aunts Jennifer Cortez, Starlia Fontenot - Cano, uncle Ro Mayton, and cousin Cody Draper. In these esteemed family members, she finds sublime companionship in the world beyond.

With her love for life and family, and her courage to live life to the fullest, her legacy will continue to inspire those she left behind. Her radiant spirit will remain forever alive in our memories, guiding us in our personal journeys, and reminding us of the importance of love, positivity, and family.
