To know Jessica was to know love and strength. Her presence was such a light to everyone who met her.

She fought grade 4 astrocytoma brain cancer so fiercely for the past 18 months.

On June 19th, surrounded by family, Jessica passed away peacefully.

This message from her husband, Nick, captures what is so hard to put into words:
“Jess truly had the most beautiful soul I've ever known.
Her smile could light up any room, and her presence made people feel instantly safe, seen, and loved. Jess had this rare ability to draw people in, to make them feel like they belonged, like they mattered. She gave so much of herself as a provider, friend, daughter, sister, wife, and mother. The impact she made in her short time here is immeasurable.
She always thought of others first. She carried a quiet strength and an unshakable kindness that touched everyone lucky enough to know her. She took care of so many of us in so many ways, and even through her own pain, she kept showing up with grace, humor, and love.
My heart is shattered, but I take comfort knowing that the pain and the headaches are over-that her beautiful spirit is at peace.
Her light lives on through our son, Cameron, who already carries so much of her joy, warmth, and love for life. I see her in him, and I know she'll always be with us.”
