My heart is broken for the parents, siblings, children and extended family who loved Jessica. Including me. 😥
Jessica was the small little person who reunited my sister and I after a stupid family
dispute. Jessica was a bright happy little child always giggling and up for a prank
and some mischief. She had a quirky sense of humor. Jessica Loved BIG!! One did not have to be related to Jessica in order to be loved by Jessica. She had a large and giving heart.
She cherished the written word - both what she wrote and what others wrote. If you ever sent her a card or letter- it is probably in one of the numerous boxes we discovered recently. She loved reading and she journaled her life struggles and achievements in numerous journals.
Let me speak of gratitude. Jessica’s journals are full of gratitude. Despite her addiction struggles her journals detail her commitment to thank God for all the small and large joys in her life. Her children, her mother, books, WiFi. A roof over her head.
She loved her family. She pours out her love for her children in the pages of these journals. Jess was a BIG presence in our family. I know it will never ever be the same at gatherings without her there. My heart feels so heavy for those she left behind. I cry for her daily. I take comfort however in knowing- without a doubt- that Jessica is cradled in Gods arms and her battles are over. Her legacy lives on with her beautiful Austin and Gracie. We are so grateful to have them. Her journals will tell her story someday and shine a light on the depths of struggling with addiction. Praying everyday for peace and comfort for her family. ❤️❤️😥

My heart is so sad about Jessica"s sudden leaving! I know she is with God at this time! But, I can feel the sadness of losing a daughter, mom, friend, and loving person. My heart goes out to her parents as I write This! I remember when I met Jessica and her loving mom their 1st night at Encounter! I do know now though she is at peace with her savior! ♥️

Jessica was a lovely person with a beautiful smile and tried so hard. Addiction is such a terrible demon for so many, young and old.

She no longer has to struggle. She's at peace and with God now.

Your struggle with addiction is finally over my beautiful neice. I will always remember you when the drugs did not have a hold on you. You were the sweetest and happiest little girl. The hours you spent riding around on my shoulders, covering my eyes until I would just about walked us into a wall, then you would giggle uncontrolably and start all over again. You loved your children so much and I know you fought your addiction as hard as you did for them. We will miss your beautiful face, your constant smile and your big hearty laugh! I'm so grateful you knew Jesus so I will see you again. I love you!!!

My heart is heavy for your loss of beautiful Jessica. So sad that drugs can have so much power even against an ever loving family of faith. My tears are falling but I'm so glad her hope was in Jesus. Her struggles are over, but her smile and beauty will remain in our hearts. I rarely cut my hair short. I've only done it 3 times in my life. Jessica made me very comfortable and gave me the best haircut ever. As trivial as that sounds she was a beautiful talented deep thinking person you just don't forget. May God give each of her family members peace and comfort and the best of your memories.

If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever... I didn't know Jessica personally, but I knew of her struggles. And I also know how much her family loved, supported, and prayed for her. Through pictures, I got to see the light in her eyes. I could feel the warmth of her smile. I could see the fierce love for her children. I saw how she fought so hard to continue bringing joy to herself and this world. My heart aches for her loved ones left behind here on Earth. May you all take comfort in knowing she is now set free to soar as her vibrant self without the weight of chains holding her back. Love and prayers,

T
