Our dear friend and colleague Jessica Gregson passed away suddenly at home on the morning of January 22nd.

Jessica's uniqueness showed early in her life. A valedictorian of her high school, she graduated with a 4.8 grade average and a knowledge of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. When she later graduated from Carnegie Mellon university, she was the only female physics major in her class. She was also the last of her line of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, descendants of a segment of the original Creek Nation, and was familiar with the traditional ways of hunting and tracking.

Jessica was adventurous and liked traveling, but being home with her family in Alabama made her happiest. With her husband, Josh, she was raising five children: Lilli, Chris, Ava, Gracie, and Vincent. Their household also included rescued animals: four cats and four dogs, an iguana, a bearded dragon, and two conures (birds). Josh affectionately called her "Snow White," because the animals would follow her from room to room.

Jessica had been with the Chartis Group for nearly six years. She was loved and respected by Chartisans and clients alike. Those of us who worked closely with Jessica knew that she would never let us down. We will miss her.
