To Jessica-

I always thought there would be a day we would reconnect. You’d show up, or I would show up and you would hug me the way you always hugged - a grip around my neck so tight it seemed like you couldn’t have possibly ever broken your arm. A hug that proved, for us, time was just a steppingstone between years. I now know why you never responded to my messages the past few years. I’m sorry you wrestled with so many demons. I wish I could’ve helped in some small way. You are more than my best friend growing up, you were like another sister to me. You are part of the fabric of my life in ways you will never know. I will hold our time together, the memories, and our friendship in my heart always.

I came across your last message to me yesterday and it made me smile. I love you, too.
