Jessica's obituary

Jessica Rose Duncan, born on November 26, 1982, in LaGrange, GA, passed away on October 31, 2024, in Pascagoula, MS, at the age of 41. Jessica spent most of her years residing in Wichita, KS, where she put down roots and built a family with former husband, Eric Greaves. Together they had two children, whom Jessica loved fiercely and were her greatest pride and source of inspiration.

A graduate of Wichita State University, Jessica earned her bachelor’s degree and went on to make meaningful contributions to her community through her work. Known for her radiant smile, Jessica had a natural gift for connecting with people and never met a stranger. Her voice, often lifted in song, was a source of comfort and joy for those around her. She loved long walks on the beach and road trips, always chasing new experiences were reflections of her free spirit. She exuded a passion for life that inspired countless others. Jessica built a strong community wherever she went, always ready to lend a hand and uplift those in need. Her compassionate spirit and commitment to helping others left an indelible mark on the many lives she touched.

Jessica is survived by her beloved children, Ethan Jeremiah Greaves (19) and Aluxa Laurian Greaves (17); mother, Laurian Duncan; siblings, Joshua (Carly) Duncan, Elayna Duncan, Wendell Parker, and Lucas Duncan, as well as nieces and nephews, Kohle, Lyric, Oliver, Isaiah, and Louie. She was deeply loved by her family and will be remembered for her unshakable devotion to them.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Duncan, who she loved dearly and undoubtedly awaits her arrival in heaven.

An intimate service with family and close friends will be held 11am to 12pm with a Celebration to honor Jessica’s life to follow from 12pm to 3pm on November 16, 2024 at Botanica Gardens’ Lotus Hall. Please come as you are, anytime you’d like, and spend some time with family and friends and enjoy sharing all our memories together while walking around the beautiful gardens of Botanica.

Jessica Rose Duncan’s legacy of love, laughter, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all that knew her.
