With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jessica "Jessie" Amanda Brosseau, who left us suddenly and tragically on July 1, 2023 in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She was born on May 22, 1979 in Toronto, Ontario.

Jessie's most significant achievements were not trophies nor awards but rather the birth of her children and her subsequent transition to being a grandmother. Jessie was also the proud owner of two cats, Aggie and Buddie.

Jessie is survived by her daughter Taylor Poulton, her son Cory Brosseau (Gabby Hubley), her grandsons Alijah and Jayce Brosseau, sister Alma Buchanan (Andy Stewart), and nephew Jonathan Buchanan (Megan Melanson ). She was the daughter of Marie Goodwin and Roy Brosseau (Frances Tupper). 

She is predeceased by her first born son, Austin Michael Brosseau, who’s memory she held close to her heart up until the day she passed.

Jessie was a friendly and kind soul. She had an accepting heart and was always supportive of those she cared for. While her life was not an easy one, she personified strength and resilience and she always encouraged her loved ones to be the best they can be.

Though she was not a perfect mother, daughter, sister, partner, or friend, Jessie loved those around her dearly. She spoke highly and frequently about her children. Despite the troubles in Jessie’s life, she always remained a proud mother.

The deep void left by Jessie's passing will never be filled and her loss will be felt by her children, grandchildren, parents, sister, and all those who loved her. Her memory will live on through her children and her grandchildren.
