Jessica's obituary
Jessica Ann Carnes, 31, of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away on December 29, 2021 from complications of child onset Diabetes. Jessica was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 9. She fought hard to defy what this disease entailed and was determined to live life feisty and free every time she got the chance to be. Jessica loved hiking with her childhood best friend Jenny McGee, fishing with her Grandpa Bill Carnes and hunting with her Dad, Fred Carnes. She was equally talented at baiting a fish hook, cooking up some special creative cuisine, tagging a deer, cheering up her friends, coloring and chalking cute messages to those she loves. She could slide out of her hoodie or camo gear into a simple outfit with some lip gloss and look runway gorgeous at every turn with no awareness of how truly beautiful she was. Jessica had a spirit that was magical and she longed for a life of normalcy free of her disease. One morning while staying at the home of Judy and Mike Ross, Jessica wrote on a chalk board that she was ready to give her life to Christ. That morning she accepted the Lord as her Savior and she knew that all of her faults were forgiven by the sacred blood of Jesus Christ.
Jessica is survived by her Mother, Barbie Carnes; By her Grandmother Margaret Carnes; Siblings Andrea Carnes, Amie Carnes, Kacey Morris, Michael Carnes, Nicki Nodine and Tammy Hornek. Aunts Brenda Beth, Debbie McClure, and Reta Flowers. Uncles Jackie McClure and Ronald Carnes; Many Nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Jessica is preceded in death by her Dad Fred Mitchell Carnes; Grandpa Milton Bill Carnes; Grandma Nora Rogers and Grandparents George & Goldie Thornsberry.
