I’m saddened to learn of the loss of Skeet. He always brighten others with his optimistic and jovial attitude. He always asked about my family when we saw each other. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family,
Don Toole
So sorry to hear of Skeet’s passing, he was a very special man and a hard worker, he said he started working at the gas station when he was eleven years old, and he never met a stranger! Fond memories and I know he loved his family!
I am so very sorry to hear of Skeet’s passing. He was a very special man who never met a stranger. I will always remember Skeet working for my dad, Billy Twilley, at his service station. He would visit my dad when he was in the hospital and was a pall bearer at his funeral. Whenever I would see Skeet he always had a hug and asked about our family. He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Skeet (as I was raised to call him), he grew up with my late grandfather Daniel Butler and my uncle Howard Butler. A great man. As a child, I remember not only meeting him but seeing his car. Lol He was always on the go. As I got older, I started digging into genealogy and everybody pointed me to Mr. Skeet. When I finally got to talk to him and document all he had to tell me, I told him: “I had to wait until you were sick to get to you, because I know as soon as you’re better you’ll be rolling again.” He laughed, sure enough, the next couple of days, he was rolling again. I went by to visit him a month ago and he was resting. I told myself, that old man will be rolling again very soon. He’s rolled on to a better place.
To the family, my deepest condolences. We all loved Skeet. He was definitely a gem.
