Jerry's obituary

Jerry "Papa" Wornica, born in 1953 in Madisonville, TN, USA, passed away on April 7, 2023. Jerry was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend, known for his attentive, comical, witty, and sarcastic personality. His preferred name was Jerry, although some knew him as Papa.

In his professional life, Jerry worked as a Welder and Supervisor at Waste Management, where he was recognized for his dedication and hard work. His hobbies included saltwater fishtanks, computers, and caring for stray cats—an interest that became a passion.

Jerry is survived by his spouse, Pamela Wornica; his son, Jerry Wornica Jr. and daughter-in-law, Jessica Wornica; his son, Adam Wornica and daughter-in-law, Denise Wornica; his son, Brian Parker and daughter-in-law, Karen Mooney; his son-in-law, Bill Cahill; Phyllis Cahill his daughter, his brother, Edward Wornica; his brother, Norman and Rita Wornica; his aunt, Mary Miller; and numerous grandaughters,, great grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was predeceased by his father, Clyde Wornica, and his mother, Ruby Wornica, whose love and guidance remained with him throughout his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to Anderson County PAWS in memory of Jerry Wornica. Donations can be made at the following link: https://everloved.com/life-of….

Jerry's love, laughter, and devotion will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
