Jerry Woody, 67, of Hartwell, Ga, passed away Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 at his home. Born on November 20, 1953 in Royston, Ga, he was son of late Jesse Benton Woody and Sarah Elizabeth Gorrell Woody. Mr. Woody was a tree surgeon for Farrens Tree Surgeons, Inc., and a member of the Zidon Baptist Church.
My name is Madison Woody. I am Jerry Woody's only child. My dad passed away on January 5th, 2021 from a heart attack in his sleep. My mom and dad separated when I was 6 years old, so I never really got to see him because we didn't really have the money to travel back and forth up to Hartwell were he lived and he wasn't in the passion to do that either so most of our relationship was on the phone. When I received the call that my dad had passed away and that I had to go to Hartwell and plan his funeral that was the hardest news I ever got. Until I got the bill of how much his funeral was, which is 10,000 dollars. Not to mention I had to have surgery on my right ankle on January 11, 2021 putting me out of work for months. I am honestly still grieving and have no idea how I am gonna pay this bill, so here I am asking for help. I honestly appreciate anything anyone is able to give. Thank you everyone!
