Jerry was born to Avery Wood and Della Holt, In Greensboro North Carolina. Jerry lived a full life in is 81 years. He was married to the love of his life Lula Mae (Brand) Wood for 53 years, served in the U.S Army and had two sons. He worked Work at Texas Instruments/Raytheon for 31 years. He enjoyed bass fishing, card games, gardening and Judge Judy.

Those left to remember him, sons Gary Wood of Austin Texas, Steven Wood of Gilmer Texas.
Sisters Theresa Mullins and Faye Overby & Genie of North Carolina. Grand Daughter Aimee (Wood ) Shipley and Husband Michael and great grandchildren Carson Shipley Christian Anders Dallas Wood Natalie Anders and Chloe Shipley.
