Jerry's obituary
In loving memory of our father, Jerry Smith, of Clemmons, NC, who passed away on November 11, 2022. He was a devoted and loving father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Jerry was born on May 29th, 1953 in Albuquerque, NM. After graduating from Highland High he studied physical education and kinesiology at the University of New Mexico. He then went on to obtain an Masters in Divinity at Gordon Conwell and a Masters in Theology at Union Theological Seminary. Jerry worked as an associate pastor for years before pursuing a Juris Doctor at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
Jerry was determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned to everyone around him.
Jerry was passionate about his faith in the Lord, his children, and crazy outdoor adventures. Anyone who knew Jerry knew that he was the most loving father and grandfather a family could ask for.
Jerry was predeceased by his mother and father, Lola and Myrl Smith. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and siblings: Trevor and Melissa (Hadley), Anna and Kyle (Nolan and Eli), Natalie and Justin (Grayson and Brooks), Austin and Jessica, Ron and Judy, Randy and Ann (Quinn and Catherine), Jana and Frank (Lexi), and Alfredo, Gonzales, and Bird.
