Jerry Stephen Rasmussen reunited with his wife, Robin Mary (Barone) Rasmussen, in Heaven on September 25, 2023. Jerry was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 29, 1934. He later moved to Houston before eventually settling down in Albuquerque to start a family. Robin and Jerry were married in 1987. Although they would later retire to Jacksonville, Florida, and then Las Vegas, Nevada, their plan was to return home to Albuquerque to be close to family and friends. Jerry was a faithful member of Alcoholics Anonymous and helped save countless lives over his 50 years of sobriety. Family, fellowship, and helping others meant the world to him. He was excited to return to his home group (Fridays at 7:30pm on Alameda). Jerry was outgoing, funny, smart, loyal, and adored his family. His amazing sense of humor and beautiful spirit will be dearly missed. Jerry was preceded in death on May 12, 2023, by his wife of 36 years, Robin. He is survived by his son Joshua and his wife Monique; his daughter Nicole; longtime family friend and "son" Tommy; his granddaughters Mya and Marissa; his "doggies"; and numerous other close friends. A gathering will be announced at a later date to remember Jerry and Robin.
