Jerry and Joanne Chadwick, resident of Fredericktown died unexpectedly Sunday, March 17, 2019 at their home.

Joanne was born April 8, 1931 in Mount Vernon to Johnathon and Mary McDermott. She was a 1949 graduate of Mount Vernon Christian Academy and a nursing school graduate from The University of Vermont. After collage, she was employed with The Mount Vernon Development Center and retired in 1990. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was a proud member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church of Mount Vernon , and was a former member of Knox County Fair Board.

Jerry M. Chadwick was born August 5, 1927 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Daniel and Margaret Chadwick. He was a 1946 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. Jerry then attended Ohio University followed by the Ohio State University where he received his Doctrine in Cardiology. After college, Jerry started his long career at Knox Community Hospital where he retired in 1989.

They loved each other truly and were married 65 years and left this world side by side. They enjoyed time with family, watching the Browns, traveling, and riding roller coaster. Most of all, they loved their dedication to modern medicine and wanted to continue that passion by donating themselves to The Ohio State University for science.

They are survived by daughter Pam Foster (Edward Foster), son Douglas Chadwick (Susie Chadwick), and son David Chadwick (Ben Chadwick). They are also survived by grandchildren Douglas Chadwick (Angela Chadwick), Jessica Zimmerman (Brent Zimmerman), and Courtney Peters (Shannon Peters). Also great grandchildren: Kascitee, Dezzi, Hannah, Dakota, Chloe, Parker, Hunter, Knox, Sulley, Sutton, Srixxon, Jamie, Gwen, Sammi, Lala, Beau, Faith, Brian, Edwin, Madden, Graham, Dawn-Marie, and Scarlett; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
