“Jerry” was born May 3rd, 1927, in Portland, Oregon, to James and Georgia Phillips, and died March 21st, 2022. He finished high school in Portland in the spring of 1945, graduating from Franklin High School. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served until discharged in the fall of 1946. He then enrolled in the College of Forestry at Oregon State University, graduating in …
