Jerry's obituary

Jerry Lee Dorsey, born in Abilene, Texas, passed away tragically on Tuesday, May 27th at the age of 52 in Rochester, New York. He spent most of his life in Dallas, Texas, where he was deeply rooted in his family, career, and community.

Jerry proudly served in the Texas National Guard, carrying a strong sense of duty and dedication throughout his life. He built a successful career as an IT professional, respected for both his technical skill and his work ethic. He was known not just for his intelligence and capability, but also for his sense of humor, and his loyalty.

He is survived by his loving mother, Jere Price, and stepfather, Dennis Price; his three siblings and their spouses: Richard and Emily Dorsey, David and Becca Dorsey, and Brandy and Nick Piranio; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Wilma Wilson, his uncle Jimmy Wilson, and his aunt Janet Northcott.

Most importantly, he leaves behind his three children, Jeffrey, Marleigh and Jack Dorsey, who were the light of his life and the source of his greatest pride and joy.

Jerry loved deeply — especially his children and family — and he will be remembered for the warmth he brought into every room. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Private memorial services will be held in both Texas And New York to honor Jerry’s memory.
