Jerry's obituary
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Jerry Anderson, who departed this life on October 9, 2023. Born on February 18, 1954, to the late Margaret and Frank Anderson, Jerry lived a life richly imbued with melody and harmony, leaving an ineffaceable mark on all who knew him.
Jerry's early life was spent in Lafayette, Indiana where he attended Jefferson High School, graduating in 1972. It was during these formative years that his passion for music blossomed, influenced heavily by the progressive rock bands of his time like Kansas, Yes, and Todd Rundgren.
Living a life that was as vibrant and varied as the music he loved, Jerry's primary recreational activity was also his greatest accomplishment. As a talented musician and gifted songwriter, he created a symphony of shared experiences, touching many with his tunes and lyrics, weaving the essence of his soul into every note he played.
He is survived by his loving sisters, Tina Anderson, Susan Barbee, and Sandra Kendrick. Their lives are a testament to the sense of family and love Jerry held dear. His spirit will continue to live on through the beautiful music he created and the deep bonds he nurtured with his family and friends.
While Jerry's physical presence is no longer among us, his music and the memories he created form a timeless melody, an enduring legacy that will sing in our hearts forever. His life was not merely a note in the grand symphony of existence, but a beautiful, resonant chord that added depth and richness to the lives he touched.
