Background

My mom was the best mother anyone could ask for. Growing up she showed me the path to success. She was always one of my biggest supporters and no matter what always reminded me everyday how proud of me she was. Over the years my mother and I became best friends. She was my shoulder to lean on , my listening ear, and my “master mommy”. As I grew and made a family of my own she loved giving me advice and listening to the many things that come with being a mom. She blossomed into her role as a Nana so flawlessly and loved her grandkids with all her heart. She will never get to meet her final grand baby whom she was so excited about but I know she is watching over her and will provide her the same warmth, love, and support that I have always felt. Her and my Father were married for 31 beautiful blissful years. They showed me what a marriage looks like, the good and the bad. He is a disabled veteran and for anyone who knows him personally know this will never stop him. He would give his soul for his family and always put my mother and I first in life. If someone he loved needed something he would give the clothes off his back and more for them even if it left him with nothing. Now he is left without his soul mate in a difficult time and unfortunately no one prepares for such a tragedy. He and my mom didn’t have much physically but what they did have was love, compassion, and kind hearts. I am asking for that love, compassion, and kindness to be shown back to him while he and I and our family attempt to navigate this difficult time and the changes that life will inevitably have in store for us ahead. No one wants to move on in life without their soul mate, best friend, and support but in this thing we call living, sometimes you must do it, anything to make it easier only helps.
